countdown

three weeks, four days, and 17 hours until the beginning of graduation. 3.4.18 until i've graduated. exciting! trying to get all the work done between now and then: not exciting.

going to Louisville this weekend to figure out the YAV thing. exciting! working on the Pastoral Care project while I'm gone so I can turn it in on Wednesday morning after we get back Tuesday night: not exciting.

prepared to teach in Rodger's class today. got bumped because others took too long, so now it's not until two weeks from now. woohoo! i guess. except it means i have to refresh when it gets closer. anyway: tonight's project: Paul journals. yippee skippee.

I'm back

so after a really awful attempt at getting home, I bought a walk-up ticket on United, flew through Chicago (and left Chicago REALLY LATE) and got home Sunday morning aroun 2. great times. I slept through church but made it to youth group and session. The keepsake boxes the kids painted are gorgeous. Maybe I'll post a picture tomorrow. :-)
Back to school now...yippee skippee...

home, and homework

i've done more homework here than about, oh, ever. maybe it's the whole not-going-to-class thing. if only i could choose: either the work or the class time, but not both. i could handle that. it's the doing both thing that's problematic.
also problematic: according to the unhelpful delta woman earlier today, the flights going back to atlanta are looking 'not so good.' whatever that means. anyway....yeah. i may or may not be back when i want/need to be. we'll see! luckily, i'm borrowing some books from the 'rents so i won't be bored at the airport if i do end up sitting there all day long. yippee.
i love mashed potatoes.

home

i have come to visit my fam for spring break. after a horrendous ATL airport experience this morning, with lines so long and a tag for extra security screening that I missed my first flight, I managed to make it. on the next flight, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. i even got a window seat with no one sitting next to me on the aisle, so i had two whole seats to myself. yay! i'll be back to atlanta before sunday afternoon, hopefully. barring more security checks that cause me to miss planes. grr. anyway, it's chilly here. my bro is out playing tennis right now. grandma is making dinner. mom's face is steroid-puffy. dad is pretty much silently watching tv, as usual. mashed potatoes and green bean casserole are in my future. AND the bed has two futon mattresses and a foam pad on it now, making it actually comfy. hurray!
happy spring.
